Apple Cinnamon Waffles

  Ingredients: 1 cup all purpose flour 1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp cinnamon 2 tsp baking powder 2 tbsp brown sugar 2 eggs 1 cup milk 4 tbsp butter 1 apple Cooking spray Special Equipment: Waffle iron Instructions: Core and grate 1 apple In a large bowl, mix together 1 cup flour, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp cinnamon, 2 tsp baking powder, 2 tbsp brown sugar In a smaller bowl, whisk together 2 eggs, 1 cup milk, 4 tbsp butter Make a well in the dry ingredients and mix in the wet ingredients until combined Fold grated apple into the mixture Spray waffle iron with cooking spray and pour in mixture until the iron is full  Cook to your preference using the settings on your waffle iron Once done, remove waffle from iron and repeat process until you've used all your batter Top with maple syrup and butter Yield: It says 4 servings, and I think we got 4 or 5 waffles out of it Source:  Homemade Apple Cinnamon Waffles (from scratch) - Kylee Cooks Description: Back when I was single, I bought a waffle i...

Roasted Brussels Sprouts

  Ingredients: 1 1/2 pounds Brussels sprouts 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil 1 tsp salt 1/2 tsp pepper 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar 1 tsp honey Directions: Preheat oven to 425 F Line baking sheet with aluminum foil Halve, destem, and remove outer leaves of Brussels sprouts In a small bowl, mix together 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil, 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp pepper, 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar and 1 tsp honey Pile Brussels sprouts on baking sheet, drizzle mix over them and use hands to toss until all the sprouts are coated Spread sprouts evenly over baking sheet and bake for 20 min Yield: 1 and 1/2 pounds Brussels sprouts Description: I've always loved Brussels sprouts. Orange Cranberry Scones

  Ingredients: 2 cups flour 1/2 cup sugar 2 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt 2 tsp orange zest (about 1 orange) 1/2 cup butter, frozen 1/2 cup heavy cream 1 egg 1 tsp vanilla extract 1 cup cranberries 1 cup confectioner's sugar 3 tbsp orange juice Directions: Whisk together 2 cups flour, 1/2 cup sugar, 2 1/2 baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt, 2 tsp orange zest Grate frozen 1/2 cup butter Add butter to flour mix and blend into pea-sized crumbs Put into fridge or freezer while you prepare the wet ingredients Whisk together 1/2 cup heavy cream, 1 egg, 1 tsp vanilla extract Drizzle over flour mixture and add 1 cup cranberries Mix until everything is moistened Pour onto counter and with floured hands, work into a ball Cut into 8 wedges Brush scones with heavy cream and top with sugar Put scones into fridge for 15 min Preheat oven to 400 F Line baking sheet with parchment paper and place refrigerated scones on it, 2-3 inches apart Bake for 25 minutes, or until golden brown on the sides and l...
